
Certification Courses Basic Keelboat 101 – A beginner course in sailing designed to get you familiar with basic sailing terms, parts of the boat, points of sail and rules of the road.
Basic Coastal Cruising 103 – The intermediate level takes you from novice to cruising safely in local and regional waters as both skipper and crew. You will gain experience in preparing the boat for heavy weather, anchoring and fine tune your sail trim skills as well as your docking skills.
Bareboat Chartering 104 – Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Sailing, Basic Coastal Cruising. This is an advanced coastal cruising course designed to give you some cruising experience. You will go beyond the basic sailing and be comfortable with not only handling a larger boat but understanding all the boat systems and maintenance procedures. Coastal Navigation 105 – Able to demonstrate the navigational theory required to safely navigate a sailing vessel in coastal or inland waters. There is no Sailing Skills part to this Standard and practical application of this Sailing Knowledge is found in the Advanced Coastal Cruising Standard. Note: All the classes are designed to build on each other.
